Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie revolves around a contract killer Babu Bihari played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui who does political killings on the instructions of political leader Divya Dutta. While executing an assignment, Nawazuddin meets a cobbler played by actress Bidita Bag and falls in […]
Plot = A clichéd story of dual identity where Siddharth Malhotra is frustrated with his life of being an undercover agent working for Suniel Shetty and is willing to lead a simple life having a family. Suniel refuses his resignation and gives him an assignment where he creates such circumstances that Suniel’s confidant Darshan Kumar believes that Siddharth is dead. But, Siddharth escapes to Miami and starts leading a common man’s life with a different name and identity. There he falls in love with Jacqueline Fernandez. But, after some years a car accident takes place in Mumbai whose video recording gets viral and reaches to Suniel Shetty and he finds Siddharth in that video. Now Suniel is desperate to find Siddharth as he has a hard drive which contains crucial information about his agency and then begins a cat and mouse chase.
Opinion = It is just an average movie. Throughout the movie we are not able to fathom what kind of agency is run by Suniel Shetty. He always explains to his subordinates that they are doing these assignments for the betterment of the country, but again, why these people deliberately kill civilians, is not at all justified. In one chase sequence, Siddharth gets impressed by the rash driving of Jacqueline and asks her from where did she learn driving, to which she replies that she has learnt it from ‘X Box 360’. I believe this dialogue is enough to state the level of this movie. Also, there is ‘in your face’ promotion of Ching’s Noodles and ‘Euro Fashion Inners’ at many places in the movie.
Performances = Siddhartha Malhotra has the capability of being the next ‘Angry Young Man’ of Bollywood, but unfortunately, after ‘Ek Villian’. he is getting stupid movies to work in, which are not able to optimize on his talent. In my view, Jacqueline Fernandez must leave her bollywood career if she is willing to continue the same shit. Actors like Rajit Kapoor and Supriya Pilgaonkar (as Jacqueline’s parents) are completely wasted. Suniel Shetty and Darshan Kumar have just repeated their previous performances.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Directors Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru have taken the least effort for this movie. Majorly the movie is handled by the Action Directors. At some places, i felt that I am watching an hindi dubbed south film on the lines of ‘Surya Jalta Nahin Jalaata Hai’ or ‘Mumbai Ki Kiran Bedi’. Also, at anytime the audience get transported to Mumbai or Goa or Miami, without paying much heed to the script. The songs of the movie are also just average.
Rowdy Rating = 2 / 5 (There is no buzz surrounding this movie and hence it will be a convenient flop)
Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is a ‘slice of life’ of Tisca Chopra where she is residing in Ghaziabad with her husband (Adil Hussain), her brother in law (Devesh Ranjan) and a servant (Sumit Gulati). Tisca is sexually and mentally frustrated in her life […]

Review Rowdy -TweetTo start with, i had ordered ‘Misal Pav’ from Potoba Mumbai (Santacruz). It is one of the best and yummy misal to have at Mumbai. The packaging was okay, ‘misal’ came in a plastic box and the ‘chewda’ was in a small plastic […]
Plot = The movie is inspired from the real life incident of Mr. Shivram Narre and his spouse Mrs. Anita Bai Narre who are residents of Chichouli Village in Madhya Pradesh, where Anita filed a petition for divorce from Shivram as he didn’t had a toilet at their residence. Here, Bhumi Pednekar files a case against Akshay Kumar and then Akshay fights with their villagers, family, government officers and the prejudices of the society to bring his wife back.
Opinion = It is a ‘feel good’ movie which will keep a smile on your face throughout, with a lot of ‘LOL Moments’ arriving at frequent intervals. It is a political satire and must be patronized by indian audience in maximum numbers. I am wondering why the state government has not made the movie ‘tax – free’. The movie has a lot of ‘toilet humor’ which is hilarious and not vulgar.
Performances = Akshay Kumar has given a ‘performance of a lifetime’. I am happy to see that he is choosing and promoting ‘meaningful cinema’ at this stage of his career. Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher, Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey and the supporting cast have given good performances and have justified their existence in the film.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Shree Narayan Singh have wasted a lot of time in establishing the love story between the lead pair but post Akshay’s marriage the movie picks up pace and proves to be a roller – coaster ride. He could have easily chopped off atleast 15 minutes from the movie to make it sharp and more focused. The Production Design and the Art Direction of the movie are at par with the requirement. The songs are also melodious.
Rowdy Rating = 4 / 5 (The movie will not ‘flush – out’ easily from the multiplexes.
