Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Neha Silgaonkar (Disha Patani) seeks help from her ex-boyfriend Captain Ranveer Pratap Singh a.k.a. Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) for finding her abducted daughter. The movie then becomes an investigative suspense- thriller, questioning every aspect and the existence of every character. Opinion = […]

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is inspired from the real – life incidences occurred in the life of Mr. Paritala Ravindra, a deceased politician of Andhra Pradesh State. Where, Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi) plays his character, who tries to avenge the death of his […]
Plot = Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji), suffering from a neurological disorder known as Tourette Syndrome, gets the job of being a teacher at a reputed school, for handling the class reserved for the students getting admission through RTI. Professor Wadia (Neeraj Kabi), who teaches at the same school, makes derogatory remarks and disapproves the constitution of the class, because of the economic background of the students and the appointment of Naina, because of her disorder. Will Naina be able to gain respect for her students from Professor Wadia and the school management or will she lose everything at stake, because of her disorder?
Opinion = The movie is an uncooked – khichadi of TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and HINDI MEDIUM. The film has its share of highs and lows, but, unfortunately, the lows are relatively higher. As an audience, you are not able to engage yourself enough, to be able to feel the emotions of the characters. Instead, you witness clichéd melodrama and absurd and unnecessary dialoguebaazi. It’s a potent plot ridiculed by clichéd melodrama. In 2018, the audience is too mature to get emotionally invested in such movies. There is no harm in missing this film.
Performances = As it was expected, Rani Mukerji is the hero of the movie. I was expecting a treat like MARDAANI, but, was not able to get even a sumptuous meal. As an actor, Rani has immense potential, which she has proven time and again in movies like BLACK, SAATHIYA, MARDAANI, CHALTE CHALTE and others. Here, she is playing a very complex and difficult character with equal finesse. Her performance was fantabulous but was marred by weak script. Actors like Neeraj Kabi, Sachin Pilgaonkar (Naina’s Father), Supriya Pilgaonkar (Naina’s Mother) and Vikram Gokhale are completely wasted. The kids in the movie had nothing productive to showcase, apart from being melodramatic.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Siddharth Malhotra has ridiculed the plot with his direction. He had the opportunity of making a thought-provoking cinema, but unfortunately, he made a comfort zone for him by presenting average state of affairs. The Songs were not required in the movie and hence they are forgettable. The Script is extremely weak, filled with clichéd dialogues and predictable sub – plots.

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Lucy Miller (Scarlett Johansson), gets kidnapped by a drug lord Mr. Jang (Choi Min-sik), who operates her and stashes 1 kg of synthetic form of CPH4, a drug (natural product found in pregnancy at week 6) that accelerates brain activation, below […]
Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Ameya Patnaik (Ajay Devgn), an honest and diligent income tax officer, executes a raid at the residence of a political leader Rameshwar Singh a.k.a. Tauji (Saurabh Shukla), who has allegedly stashed his illegal wealth of around 420 Crores, at his residence […]
Plot = Andrew (Miles Teller) takes admission in New York’s best Music Institute and aspires to become the best drummer on this planet. The chief coach of the institute, Terence Fletcher (J.K. Simmons), is hot-headed and a dictator, who is very rude and rough with his students and is disliked and feared by everyone. Will Andrew be able to achieve his dreams under Fletcher or will his life go for a toss?
Opinion = Till what extent will you go to extract the best talent out of your protégé? The movie is an apt answer to this question. The proceedings create the right amount of tension in the minds of its audience, along with raising some very important and thought-provoking questions. The plot is very simple, but the execution of the movie has elevated its impact to a much superior level. As an audience, you yourself will feel stressed and uncomfortable about the situation, faced by the protagonist in the movie. It’s a must watch!
Performances = The movie belongs to actor J.K. Simmons. It is one of the finest performances of his career. His attitude, appearance, voice modulation and persona match the requirement of the character, to a very great extent. Actor Miles Teller was also pretty decent in his performance, but at places, I felt that he could have been better. The movie keeps on rotating alongside these 2 characters and hence, there was not much of a scope left for the supporting cast to add something productive.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = The Direction & The Screenplay, has made the film what it is. Director Damien Chazelle has presented a taut thriller, which is unconventional in many ways. His direction will make you bite your nails at multiple occasions. Also, the background score and the music composition have played a distinctive role in elevating the impact of the proceedings.

Plot = A leukodermic meme designer Archana Pradhan (Geetanjali Thapa) falls in love with the voice and thoughts of a radio jockey Alfaaz (Zain Khan Durrani). She goes on blind dates in search of love, which leads her to her dream man Alfaaz. Will Archana fall in love with Alfaaz, as an individual, or has she submitted her desires to his invisible presence?
Opinion = Bollywood has presented the purest form of love on celluloid after Manjhi: The Mountain Man. I have fallen in love with this movie. The proceedings on screen are filled with ‘orgasmic romance’. As an audience, you will get mesmerized by the thought process and presentation of the characters. In the age of tinder, fling relationships and one – night – stands, the movie tries to rejuvenate old school romance, in a refreshing package. You will feel the pain and loneliness of the characters, which are highly immersive. Like everyone else, the movie brought tears to my eyes, and made me cry profusely at various occasions. It was a delight to watch this flick in the multiplex, where all the remaining patrons were involved and connected with you with the characters on screen. Will love to watch more such movies in future.
Performances = I assure you that, after watching this movie, each and every girl in this country will fall in love with actor Zain Khan Durrani. His voice is mesmerizing. At the multiplex, people were literally feeling an adrenaline rush, listening to his voice and dialogues. He is an uncut diamond. Once you watch this movie, it will be impossible for you to forget his performance, till your last breath. For the first time, actress Geetanjali Thapa has got such a meaty role. You will feel connected with her emotions and loneliness. The remaining cast was just perfect in their respective roles.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Onir deserves a pat on the back on attempting this type of movie. His direction will move you internally and you will leave the multiplex with a mesmerizing experience. The most appreciable aspect of the movie is the dialogues written by Abhishek Chatterjee. There are some unforgettable lines and quotes, which will hit your heart directly. I felt the vacuum of not having some romantic numbers in the film, but I can ignore this flaw, considering the overall execution of the plot. The film is made on a shoe-string budget, but still, the cinematography is praise – worthy.
