Trailer of ZERO

Trailer of ZERO
Review Rowdy -

Opinion = Finally, the trailer of ZERO is here. This is one of those movies who got heavily exploited during the initial promotions, such that, its buzz lost its steam till the release of its trailer. The makers had also released a teaser (with special appearance of Salman Khan) few months back, for celebrating the occasion of EID, which did nothing to boost the excitement for this movie.

The trailer is very detailed and sensitizes the audience with every facet of its plot. A 38 years old midget (SRK) in search of true love, finds solace in a differently – abled girl (Anushka Sharma), is a FAN of an Actress (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with her also.

Then I believe, it will serve the same shit of “True Love is above all the differences and challenges”. In short, according to me, it will be a khichadi of BARFI and MAST (Aftab Shivdasani & Urmila Matondkar starrer).

In the initial parts of the trailer, we see Shah Rukh Khan playing the same kind of role, which he is playing since ages. There is nothing new, in his personification, except through VFX (which is also pathetic at some places) he is shown as a MIDGET.

The trailer started engaging me with the entry of Katrina Kaif, who is shown as a successful actress, facing loneliness in life (the kiss scene between SRK & Katrina, shows this sentiment exactly).

Also, since Shah Rukh is the King of Marketing (and after the shameful debacle of Jab Harry Met Sejal, I believe he has realized that he has lost his star power, which he possessed 20 years back), at the opening sequence of the trailer, you see a full wall LOGO of “shaadi.com” (money taken from them will help Shah Rukh sail through the losses, if this movie also bombs at the box office).

Overall, the trailer is not bad, but it offered us nothing, which we haven’t seen in Bollywood multiple times earlier.

The fate of the movie will be decided on 21st December 2018!
