Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The catastrophic flood of Uttarakhand, occurred in 2013, forms the crux of the story, where the makers have tried to weave a love story in this tragic event. Here, Mandaakini Mishra a.k.a Mukku (Sara Ali Khan), is a daughter of a […]

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is a sequel to the 2010 superhit movie ROBOT. The plot gets shifted to current time, where a psychopath named Pakshi Rajan (Akshay Kumar) has created havoc in the southern part of the country, by robbing the mobile phones […]
Plot = The movie is a cinematic representation of a real – life incident, of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Here, PIHU, a 2 year old toddler, gets confined to her home, with an unresponsive mother and a careless neighborhood. What follows is a series of spine – chilling and thought – provoking incidences, which shakes up the small world of PIHU!
Opinion = I would beg to differ in my review, from other critics. Before patronizing this flick, I had referred to a couple of reviews on the movie, published in reputed publications. Everybody, in general, highlighted that, the movie is slow in its execution, it’s unnecessarily lengthy; the screenplay is weak, etc. Nowhere, I am able to tally with their opinion.
According to me, the movie is exactly made, as it should be. In layman terms, it is a modified version of the Rajkummar Rao starrer, critically acclaimed movie, TRAPPED.
But here, the situation is even more horrifying, as the protagonist herself is a 2 year old toddler.
The movie absorbs you completely, right from the first frame, making it a highly engaging affair.
You definitely need a very strong heart and ample of courage to watch this flick.
The presentation seems genuine and serves the purpose of offering a spine – chilling thriller.
I would specifically like to appreciate the film – maker’s effort, because, apart from taking references from a real – life incident, they have also brought the spotlight on the carelessness of the people, living in our society.
For a while, just think that if your 2 year old kid is left all alone in your house, without any attention or guidance, you will then be able to predict, very closely, about what all incidences might have taken place in the movie.
To sum up the things, I can only state that, it’s an outstanding piece of cinema, made rarely in BOLLYWOOD. A must watch!
Performances = Child Artist Pihu Myra Vishwakarma might get all the awards this year, allotted exclusively, for her age category. She is the only living being present on screen, throughout the runtime. The supporting cast interacts with her, either on phone call, or by remaining outside of their house. The entire movie runs on the strong shoulders of this brilliant artist. Actress Prerna Vishwakarma (who is the reel and real mother of Pihu) excels in the parts where she is been coerced by Pihu, while trying to wake her up.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Vinod Kapri must not lose hope or confidence, by watching or reading the reviews of other film critics. Review Rowdy is with him. His efforts are really praise – worthy. I can understand how challenging it would have been for Vinod, to direct and base an entire movie on a toddler. The Background Score is enough to give you goose bumps at many places. The Editing and the Camerawork of the movie, has placed the script on a superior pedestal.

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is setup between 1795 to 1806 (the pre – independence era), where the province of Raunakpur is under the command of a British Ruler, named John Clive (Lloyd Owen). To free the natives of Raunakpur from the undeserved ruling […]
Review Rowdy -TweetOpinion = Finally, the trailer of ZERO is here. This is one of those movies who got heavily exploited during the initial promotions, such that, its buzz lost its steam till the release of its trailer. The makers had also released a teaser […]
Plot = Rizwan Ahmed (Rohan Mehra), is a typical small – town boy from Allahabad, who idolizes Shakun Kothari (Saif Ali Khan), a Mumbai based business tycoon, leading an empire worth rupees 5000 Crores. Rizwan comes to Mumbai for proving his mettle and working together, shoulder-by-shoulder, with Shakun. He seeks solace in Shakun’s employee Priya Rai (Radhika Apte), who introduces him to Shakun directly. Will Rizwan be able to achieve his dreams, or will he get reduced to a puppet, dancing on the tunes of Shakun Kothari?
Opinion = For a brief moment, let us treat the movie – making process, in line with the procedure of making a culinary recipe.
So, here, take 2 tsp (teaspoon) of THE GODFATHER, 3 tsp of THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, 4 tsp of GURU and 5 tsp of SHIKHAR (not the gutkha, but Shahid Kapoor and Ajay Devgan starrer movie). Once, you have sorted these ingredients aside, add some money taken from PayTM, VIVO, Motilal Oswal, ET NOW, Rustomjee and Blackberry, in the form of in – film promotion, and leave it half – cooked. The final dish what you get is BAAZAAR.
The movie is highly average both, in execution as well as treatment. I am not able to fathom that why this film was in the making, since past couple of years. They could have easily made this one in few months, anyhow. Till the end, myself and the audience at the multiplex, at large, were not able to gauge that what exactly are the makers trying to convey.
Were they trying to pitch the nitty – gritty of the stock market. If yes, then they have failed miserably, as all the brokers and traders are shown having fun and the best time of their lives, during the working hours of the stock market.
Or were they trying to convey that you cannot always go by the book, when you are doing business.
There is some news doing the rounds since last few days that the JAIN COMMUNITY has objected on the content of the movie. I believe instead of them, all the IIM and HARVARD graduates must fight a legal battle against the movie, and claim damages for defamation.
The IIM and HARVARD graduates are mocked heavily in the movie. At times, I myself felt very uncomfortable by seeing how these people were made an object of amusement in the movie.
Neither the first half, nor the second half engages the audience or takes them anywhere.
Iss BAAZAAAR mein sab second – hand maal bechane ki koshish ki gayi hai!
Performances = The performance of Saif Ali Khan is the only saving grace of this movie. Only his presence has made the movie bearable, upto an extent. You will not be able to gauge that he is not a gujarati. It’s a praise – worthy performance of his career. I believe it is the first and last movie of debutant Rohan Mehra. Any sane director will not offer him any project, after seeing his performance in this movie. Actress Radhika Apte, as Priya Rai, was just present for executing some steamy lip – locks. Maybe that is the reason her character’s name was inspired from a celebrity pornstar. I believe, actress Chitrangda Singh needs to figure it out that why was she present in this movie. I cannot mention anything good about the supporting cast.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Gauravv K Chawla has given us a highly average movie. The entire movie relies on the shoulders of Saif, much more than him. If Gauravv must have put in more efforts and hard work, he could have done justice to the plot. There is a dearth of Background Score at many places. I believe, the Dialogues will appeal and please the Gujaratis of our country, deeply. Kem Chho song is already a hit, the remaining are just average.

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Nakul Kaushik (Ayushmann Khurrana) is in love with his colleague Rene Sharma (Sanya Malhotra). After convincing Rene’s mother Sangeeta Sharma (Sheeba Chaddha), Nakul decides to pitch their marriage proposal to his family, comprised of his father – Kaushik (Gajraj Rao), mother […]
Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = It’s a remake of a hit Bengali – film, where an estranged couple Dev (Varun Mitra) and Aaisha (Rhea Chakraborty) meet on a train journey. The movie then oscillates between their past and their present, leading to a relieving climax! Opinion […]
Plot = The movie tries to delve into the daily lives of single parents and their equation with their children, at various stages of life. Here, the protagonist is Eela Raiturkar (Kajol), a single mother and a businesswoman, who is nothing more than a watchdog, for his teenage lad Vivaan (Riddhi Sen). The movie showcases their tumultuous relationship, which goes through various ups and down, during its runtime!
Opinion = I cannot consider this as a MOVIE. This is SHIT, This is TATTI, this is a 3rd Degree Torture and everything else, which is torturous in this world, and not a movie at all. Before going into the details of this GARBAGE, let us do away with the list of celebrities, who have played a cameo in this SHIT of a movie. So, you will see celebrities like, MAHESH BHATT, ILA ARUN, BABA SEHGAL (Yes, he is still alive), GANESH ACHARYA, ANU MALIK, SHAAN and SHRI AMITABH BACHCHAN. Everyone was there, either to just party or to respect the relations they might be having with the makers. None of them added any value to the proceedings or the plot.
There is not even a single aspect, which is praise worthy in this SHIT. But still, the movie will definitely get an award for being one of the most pathetic movies produced, in the history of Bollywood. The makers have made a mockery of an extremely serious and burning issue.
The movie showcases the typical garbage of broken dreams of married women, relationship challenges faced by the young generation, etc, without any dignity or novelty attached with it.
Since, I am counted among the top critics of the country; I am bound to use a dignified language, in my reviews. Otherwise, I am dying to mention the dirtiest and weirdest abusive words for this movie, so that, it reaches to the makers as well.
If you are willing to take REVENGE with somebody, please gift him or her, a free ticket of this movie. That individual will never ever trouble or bother you, for lifetime!
Performances = I am dying to give a “tight slap” on the face of Kajol. She has crossed all the limits of over – acting. Her presence in any scene, is enough to boil your blood with anger, creating a cringe – worthy effect. The only saving grace was the performance of actor Riddhi Sen, which was pretty decent in his effort. The supporting cast has also done a pathetic job.
A potent actor like Zakir Hussain (College Principal) was completely wasted.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Pradeep Sarkar must be taken to the GATEWAY OF INDIA (chose this spot because, people from western, central and harbor railway lines, can reach here smoothly), must be stripped naked and must be beaten with sandals, shoes and rubber chappals, after dipping it in a heap of cow – dung. If he can tolerate this SHIT and calls it a movie, then, he is eligible for such kind of treatment. The only thing, which is better than the entire movie, is the song MUMMA KI PARCHCHAAYI. Nothing productive can be mentioned about the remaining technical aspects.
