“The School Bag”

Review Rowdy -

Plot = The film is based on a horrifying terrorist attack which took place on 16th December, 2014 at Army Public School in Peshawar (Pakistan) in which 132 kids were killed.

Opinion = The film has innocence in every bit of it. Since it is a real story, the audience gets connected with the characters immediately.  The flow of events is simple and to the point and in the middle of the film, you can gauge that some unpleasant situation will take place between the child and his mother.

Performances = Rasika Dugal is a highly underrated actress. She had also given a shining performance in CHUTNEY, alongside established actors like Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain. Here, through her innocent effort she makes you feel her loneliness and the feelings she has about her only son.  You will feel pity for her in the climax sequence. Also, child actor Sartaaj Kakkar will charm you with his innocence.

Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Dheeraj Jindal and Co – Director Anshul Agarwal, have kept proceedings slick and simple. The set and Production Design convinces you that the film is shot in Pakistan and the house is inhabited by a muslim resident. The background score of the film is also at par with the expectation.

Rating = 4 / 5
