Plot = Neha Silgaonkar (Disha Patani) seeks help from her ex-boyfriend Captain Ranveer Pratap Singh a.k.a. Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) for finding her abducted daughter. The movie then becomes an investigative suspense- thriller, questioning every aspect and the existence of every character.
Opinion = The problem with Bollywood Filmmakers is that, if any of their film manages to register an above-average business at the box – office, they get eager in making a franchise out of it. BAAGHI was unexpectedly a good entertainer. It had presented the nuances of martial – arts, little bit in detail. However, this movie is highly average and it could not even keep the dignity of its predecessor. For the first time, I have seen an action – movie having a dearth of action sequences. Many times, I thought, why am I watching this shit at all? But then, it dawned upon me that I am just doing my job. I need to review it. I have a habit of noting down points (mainly flaws) on a whatsapp group, which I have created for myself, while watching any movie. It acts as a reference material for me, while writing reviews. Believe me, I have noted the maximum flaws this time, since I have started reviewing movies professionally. I cannot mention all of them here, as it will spoil the entire movie. Had this movie released during the 90’s, it could have garnered a favorable response. But in 2018, the audience is too mature to digest this shit. First 20 minutes of the movie is highly boring, filled with clichéd and deliberate efforts taken by the director to develop chemistry between the lead pair. The only praise-worthy aspect of the movie is the fight sequence executed at a Police Station, in the first half. Rest, the movie does not give you the adrenaline rush through its action sequences, nor it evokes any kind of emotion or empathy in you, for the characters on screen. Please note, the movie is presented as a suspense-thriller, but, the revelation does not have any flinching factor.
Performances = The movie has a pool of extremely talented actors, in spite of which, it is marred by mediocre performances. Tiger Shroff has tried his level best in establishing himself as a new – age action hero of Bollywood, but unfortunately, because of a below-average script, his efforts have gone in vain. Actress Disha Patani must leave Bollywood, with immediate effect. Her acting is so cringe – worthy, that if she appears in front of you, you might lose your control and just give her a tight – slap, straight on her face. Even Sonam Kapoor had performed better than her, in PADMAN. You can gauge what I am trying to convey. This is the only reason that even after debuting in a movie like MS DHONI – THE UNTOLD STORY, she is still struggling for a respectable role. Talented Actors like Manoj Bajpayee (as DGP), Randeep Hooda (as LSD) and Deepak Dobriyal (as Usman) are completely wasted. I felt their talent is been mocked in this movie. The surprise package of the movie was the acting of Prateik Babbar. He has given an outstanding performance as a drug – addict -cum- brother-in-law of Disha Patani. This movie must act as a game – changer for him.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = I feel Director Ahmed Khan must restrict himself to choreography and judging reality shows. Both his previous directorial ventures LAKEER & FOOL & FINAL were deplorable. Firstly, a sequel to BAAGHI was not at all required, as the audience had not asked for it, secondly, the remaining charm of the franchise is killed by Ahmed Khan with his mediocre direction. I felt, at places, Ahmed was himself clueless about what he is trying to showcase on screen. A lot of money is spent on this movie, which I feel, will not get recovered. There was only 20% occupancy at the multiplex, even on a bank holiday. The Background Score is good and only O Saathi & Lo Safar songs are quite acceptable to your ears. The controversial song Ek Do Teen is just crass and cheap.

Review = So. Aiyaary is the movie which no one was excited to see. This time also, Director Neeraj Pandey is back with the same star cast of his previous movies, like A Wednesday, Special 26, Naam Shabana, Rustom and Baby. I feel Neeraj has kept a target for himself that come – what – may, he needs to release a movie either on 26th January or 15th August every year, whether the audience wants it or not. The trailer presents nothing which we haven’t seen in Neeraj’s previous movies. Majority of the star cast, the treatment, the chase sequences, the plot raising questions on our national security, everything is fucking same. On top-of-it, the movie is releasing along with PADMAN and maybe that is the only reason Akshay Kumar is not associated with the project this time. I am least interested in watching this flick, but I will have to review it for my followers. Lets us wait till January 26, 2018 for witnessing the final outcome.
