Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Sanjana Singh (Daisy Shah) and Suraj Singh (Saqib Saleem) are twin siblings of a billionaire arms – dealer Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor). Sanjana & Suraj conspire together with the help of their family’s bodyguard Yash (Bobby Deol) to eliminate their step […]
Plot = The movie is the official sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. After remaining undercover for about 5 years, RAW Agent Tiger, played by actor Salman Khan, is again called for a mission of rescuing 40 Nurses taken hostage at a hospital, based at Syria, by a terrorist organization ISC. The movie is then based on how Tiger accomplishes the mission with the help of his ISI Agent wife Zoya, played by actress Katrina Kaif, by killing the ISC chief Abu Usman, played by actor Sajjad Delafrooz.
Opinion = There is nowhere written in our Constitution that you need to make a sequel of each and every blockbuster produced in Bollywood. We need to accept the fact that not every blockbuster is The Godfather, whose sequel and multiple representations is demanded by the audience madly. The sub – plots and the proceedings of the movie are highly philosophical and average. As an audience, we feel that the movie is only made to raise a voice for improving the relations between India and Pakistan. The movie is a torture to watch for the complete length of 2 hours and 50 minutes at a stretch. RAW, as an agency, is terribly mocked in the movie. The only reason which makes the movie at least a one – time watch are its breath – taking action sequences and the performance of Sajjad Delafrooz.
Performances = When Salman Bhai is on screen, nothing else is required. But the charm of this saying is fading with Salman’s every new outing. Now, people crave for a decent content also. After the box – office debacle of Jai Ho and Tubelight, I believe even Salman has understood that he is the hero of the masses and not the classes. I had watched this movie at Cinepolis, Andheri West and even though the show had 80% occupancy, there was not a single citi, clap or shor sharaaba for Salman’s entry or action sequences. Many people were literally sleeping throughout the runtime of the movie. Also, now it’s time for Katrina Kaif to analyze that why does she exist on planet earth, and not just restrict her thinking to her movies itself. The clear winner of the movie is the debutant Sajjad Delafrooz, who has mesmerized the audience with his fantabulous performance. Actors like Paresh Rawal, Girish Karnad and Kumud Mishra are completely wasted. The remaining cast had nothing to do except to mouth some pleasing, philosophical and other – worldly dialogues intended to improve relations between India and Pakistan.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = I had decent (if not great) expectations from Director Ali Abbas Zafar, considering his impressive work in Sultan. But, again he has given us a shit on similar lines with his movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. His direction is monotonous and relies heavily on action and chase sequences. Since it is backed by Yash Raj Films, the Production Design, Cinematography and Action Sequences are world class. However, the script is extremely weak and is filled with shitty and philosophical dialogues.
Rowdy Rating = 2.5 / 5
(I have given an extra star rating only considering the breath – taking action sequences and the performance of Sajjad Delafrooz. Otherwise, the movie only deserves 1.5 / 5)
Review Rowdy -TweetReview = Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the most awaited movies of 2017. And yes, the trailer does not disappoint its audience. Its predecessor Ek Tha Tiger had released in the year 2012 and had received only a rating of 5.4/10 on […]
Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is a reprised and grand version of 1997 blockbuster movie JUDWAA. The plot and many of the scenes and songs are exactly copied from the original flick. Here, Varun Dhawan enacts the characters of Prem & Raja who are […]
