Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Bauua Singh (Shah Rukh Khan), a 38 years old Midget, falls in love with a patient of cerebral palsy, named Aafia Yusufzai Bhinder (Anushka Sharma). Their life gets tobsy – turvy when Bauua meets his favorite actress Babita Kumari (Katrina Kaif) […]
Plot = Sanjana Singh (Daisy Shah) and Suraj Singh (Saqib Saleem) are twin siblings of a billionaire arms – dealer Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor). Sanjana & Suraj conspire together with the help of their family’s bodyguard Yash (Bobby Deol) to eliminate their step -brother Sikander Singh (Salman Khan), as Sikander is entitled to a major share in the property of Shamsher Singh. Will the twin siblings become successful in their mission or will Sikander’s smartness have an upper – hand?
Opinion = The problem with Bollywood Filmmakers is that, if any of their movie is able to do handsome business at the box office, they immediately convert the essence of the movie, into a franchise. RACE had a very good content at its disposal, with the presence of established actors like Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and others. But, with every new installment, the quality of the franchise is deteriorating. RACE 2 was just an ‘okay’ kind of movie, which had nothing to boast about. But here, since the launch of the trailer, the movie is highly mocked and criticized on the social media (Remember – Our business is our business, none of your business). It is not a movie, but an assault on your senses, a waste of your time and a reason for your boredom. This year, with movies like 102 NOT OUT, PARMANU, RAAZI, BEYOND THE CLOUDS, OCTOBER, etc, Bollywood is seriously raising its standard on global pedestal. But, Salman Bhai is always there to remind us that ‘Humaari aukaat “Oscar” jeetne ki nahin hai’. “Oscar’s business is Oscar’s business; its none of our business (pun intended)”. I literally had no expectations from the movie, but the first 15 minutes of the proceedings really impressed me and I started thinking that, now, my money (invested for the admission ticket) will not get wasted. But, the SHIT started to happen with the entry of actress Jacqueline Fernandez (Jessica), and then onwards, the movie is just crap and boring. The twists in the plot are so naively presented that it doesn’t even give the required adrenaline rush. The movie is unnecessarily long and will test your patience post interval. I direly waited for almost 45 minutes for the movie to come to a conclusion. Literally ‘Screen par kuch bhi chal raha tha’. My advice to you, please don’t waste your money on this movie!
Performances = “When Salman Bhai is on screen, you don’t require anything else”. But, unfortunately, seeing the box office performance of his previous movies, Tiger Zinda Hai & Tubelight, the impact of this ideology is fading away. Now, people want decent content also. Both his previous movies (and even this one) did great revenue generation because of their whopping television and overseas distribution rights. Technically, they just did above average business at the box office. Here also, “Bhai Fans” will get all the expected masala from him, in the form of EIDI. There was nothing exceptional about his performance. Actor Anil Kapoor gave an impressive performance. A highly talented actor like Bobby Deol is completely wasted here also. Actress Daisy Shah surprised me with her performance as a vamp. She did a good job. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez just repeats herself in every film she does. Actor Saqib Saleem did a decent job. Actor Freddy Daruwala, as Rana, hardly got any screen presence. Actors like Narendra Jha, Sharat Saxena, Rajesh Sharma and Milind Gunaji were completely wasted.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = I believe that Director Remo D’Souza is highly overconfident with his directorial capabilities. He made the ABCD Series then FALTU then A Flying Jatt and none of them were great or outstanding. I believe he should only focus on his choreography and leave direction for able people. The introduction of every character was extremely hurried, the climax sequence is not justified, the songs and the choreography are pathetic, the twists and turns of the plot are naively presented, so, I am not able to chalk out any positive remark for Remo Sir. The only praise –worthy aspect of the movie is the chase sequence of Anil Kapoor which is presented within 10 minutes of the start of the movie. The action sequences executed there are breath – taking. Even after the presence of a plethora of music directors, there is not a single memorable composition in the movie. The 3D Effects in the movie are at par with Hollywood.

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = The movie is the official sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. After remaining undercover for about 5 years, RAW Agent Tiger, played by actor Salman Khan, is again called for a mission of rescuing 40 Nurses taken hostage at […]
Review Rowdy -TweetReview = Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the most awaited movies of 2017. And yes, the trailer does not disappoint its audience. Its predecessor Ek Tha Tiger had released in the year 2012 and had received only a rating of 5.4/10 on […]
Plot = The movie is a reprised and grand version of 1997 blockbuster movie JUDWAA. The plot and many of the scenes and songs are exactly copied from the original flick. Here, Varun Dhawan enacts the characters of Prem & Raja who are conjoined twin sons of actor Sachin Khedekar and actress Prachi Shah. Raja gets kidnapped by a smuggler Charles played by actor Zakir Hussain and throws him on a railway track. Then the movie proceeds in the same way as the original and tries to entertain the audience with the reflex actions of the protagonists.
Opinion = The original film had released in the year 1997. It was a time when the movies made by David Dhawan and Salman Khan were projected blockbusters. But today, the audience is more educated and matured in perceiving a film and will definitely dissect the flaws present in the script. It is a tiring experience to watch this movie for a complete scope of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The movie is an ideal example of nepotism prevailing in Bollywood. Maybe David Dhawan had a dream to watch his son in place of Salman in one of his most talked about film and hence you get this as a by-product of his dream. However, there are many citi – bajao and LOL moments in the film which makes it bearable. I quite enjoyed the first half and last 45 minutes of the film, and if you are willing to patronize this movie, please leave your brains and logics at home. You will laugh at the immaturity and foolishness of this film but still you will love it for its spirit. Since, there is no big budget movie releasing this week, Judwaa 2 will generate good numbers at the box office during the long weekend.
Performances = It will be impossible for you to stay away from the charm of Varun Dhawan in this movie. He has invested his heart and soul in playing the characters of Prem and Raja, with distinct nuances and has managed to entertain the audience favorably. He is adorable as Prem and equally creepy as Raja. He has tried his level best to play the character of Raja, on similar lines with Salman, but unfortunately his efforts have gone in vain. Actors like Sachin Khedekar, Zakir Hussain, Pawan Malhotra, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Ali Asgar and Tapsee Pannu are completely wasted and had nothing productive to do in the entire movie. I had mentioned in my review of A Gentleman that Jacqueline Fernandez must leave bollywood if she cannot learn to act and mouth her dialogues in an acceptable manner and I would like to ratify my statement here. The cameo of Salman Khan is forced and pathetic.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director David Dhawan has an impeccable record of giving more than 3 dozen hit movies at a stretch. Though people have always questioned the illogical plots of his movies, but we will have to accept the fact that, he has a humungous fan following. He has directed a movie after a very long time and has managed to entertain the audience. The reprised versions of Oochi Hai Building and Chalti Hai Kya 9 se 12 are already on the top of music charts. The cinematography by Ayananka Bose is very good and gives the feeling of grandeur to the proceedings.
