Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = Raje Bauji (Sanjay Mishra) is tensed about his daughter Rita (Maya Sarao), who is in love with Ajju (Namit Das). Bauji’s younger brother Rishi (Rajat Kapoor) and his acquaintances perceive Ajju as a goon and ill – mannered boy. But, when […]

Review Rowdy -TweetPlot = At the core, the movie is based on the turbulence in weather caused by global warming, ozone depletion and other factors. The movie revolves around a blind old man, played by actor Sanjay Mishra, whose son Mukund, played by actor Bhupesh […]
Plot =The central characters of the movie are Gopal, Madhav, Lucky, Laxman, Laxman, Khushi and Rukmini, played by actors Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade (Laxman 1), Kunal Khemu (Laxman 2), Parineeti Chopra and Tabu, respectively. They all are raised in the same orphanage owned and managed by Mr. Jamnadas, played by actor Uday Tikekar. Two Businessmen, played by actor Prakash Raj & actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, are eyeing the orphanage plot for commercial benefits and kill Jamnadas and acquire it forcefully. Then the movie is based on how the central characters unite and avenge the death of their foster father. The remaining cast of Golmaal Series like Vrijesh Hirjee, Sanjay Mishra (Babli Bhai), Mukesh Tiwari (Vasooli Bhai) and Murli Sharma (Inspector) are also the part of this ensemble cast all are in their previous avatars.
Opinion = I had close to no expectation from the movie, but it has surprised me in every way possible. The movie is a roller – coaster ride with a lot of LOL Moments, which will cause pain in your stomach. The first half of the movie is brilliant and the constant presence of witty one – liners and punches doesn’t give you the opportunity to even breathe comfortably. However, the problem starts in the second half with the introduction of Vrijesh Hirjee’s character. I felt for the first 15 minutes post interval, Rohit Shetty was himself clueless about how he should proceed with the film. But, then again the movie picks up pace and ends with a relieving climax. But still, I will give brownie points only for the first half of the movie. The movie can be considered as a tribute to actor Nana Patekar and you will know the reason once you patronize this flick.
Performances = Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi are in their previous avatars and have performed at par with the expectations. Tusshar Kapoor is back in complete form with a bang and has given another riveting and citi – bajao performance. An actress like Tabu is complete wasted. But, the surprise element of the movie is Parineeti Chopra. For the first time, Parineeti has got a meaty role and she has done complete justice with her character. A lot of talent is left to be extracted from this bubbly – girl. Actor Kunal Khemu is a complete misfit. I use to dislike Shreyas Talpade as an actor but his last project Poster Boys and his performance in this movie has made me a fan of his comic timing. Actors Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari enhance the comic essence of the movie with their performance.
Direction & Other Technical Aspects = Director Rohit Shetty has given us a sweet gift on Diwali. Thankfully, he has not repeated any stupidity of Golmaal 2 and Golmaal 3, in this one. The jokes are fresh and the story is highly engaging. You laugh and enjoy on the obviousness and stupidity of the situation. But, there is nothing in the movie which looks other worldly, which makes the proceedings highly believable. The cinematography of the movie is outstanding. Also, the songs are enjoyable and do act as a hindrance to the proceedings.
